May 26-28, 2012. It is held traditionally over Memorial Day Weekend, which makes the contest a three day event.

3) Who runs the Steel Pier Classic?
The Virginia Longboard Federation, a non profit organization.

4) What events are held during the Steel Pier Classic?
All ages: amateur longboard and shortboard, pro longboard and shortboard and noseriding, big kahuna and stand up paddle surfing.
