October Newsletter 2006

The website is up! Please visit our newly renovated website www.virginialongboardfederation.com. Make sure you refresh your web browser to see it's changes. Morgan has devoted hours to update and overhaul the entire site. It features our Mission, History of our club and the Steel Pier, Team Riders, Sponsors, lots and lots of pictures and the new feature "Dean's Blog". Dean's Blog will be updated every Sunday so be sure and check it each week!

There are several upcoming events which are featured on the website and will be updated regularly. Upcoming events are:

October 14th and 15th ESA Contest at First Street
October 21st 1:30 PM VLF Meeting @ Marie's Office
October 28th East Coast Military Championships in Nags head. (link is on the VLF website for information).
December 16th VLF Christmas Party and Oyster Roast

The March of Dimes contest has been postponed due to weather this weekend. I am waiting for an update on that and will put that on the web page.

Congratulations to our VLF team riders who won their divisions in the Neptune Surfing Contest. I don't have all the final results, but I know Kate Easton, Chris Crocket and Alex Strangeways won. Great job!

Don't forget to attend the upcoming VLF meeting Saturday October 21st at 1:30 pm at Marie's office.
